Dr. Tom (Kwang) Lee
new west dentist

Dr. Lee received his degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery in South Korea before completing a 4 year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Yonsei University and its affiliated Severance Hospital in Seoul, South Korea.

During his residency, Dr. Lee received training in oral cancer, head & neck reconstructive surgery, orthognathic surgery, cleft and palate reconstructive surgery, trauma surgery, oral infection control, distraction osteogenesis surgery, minor and

complicated dental extractions implant surgery, as well as TMJ open surgery. He also gained knowledge in emergency medicine, general surgery, anesthesiology, and oral pathology.

Dr. Lee was invited as a visiting resident to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Queen Elizabeth II, Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, NS Canada in 2001. Upon completion of his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program in South Korea, he decided to immigrate to Canada. He completed qualifying program at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia.

Dr. Stephen Leung
new west dentist

Dr. Leung is a 1979 UBC Dentistry graduate. Worked as an associate under Dr. Domnic Ciarnello and also for Dr. Ole Westby. Thereafter, he bought a practice out at White Rock from Dr. Dolores Fauchon, a retiring dentist, and worked there until 2001 whereupon he moved a few blocks north into South Surrey and have been there ever since.

Dr. Leung does most phases of general dentistry including conventional restorations, removable and fixed prosthodontics, endodontics and related surgeries such as surgical extractions, periodontal surgeries and orthodontics.

His plans for the future includes working in a stress free environment doing good dentistry and playing ok tennis. To quote Dr. Leung, “Given that, I think I could easily sail on in this contented state well into my 90′s!”

Dr. Karro

Dr. Alan Karro graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1977. He has practiced General Dentistry in the Greater Vancouver area for 38 years. Dr. Karro enjoys all aspects of General Dentistry and the day to day challenges dentistry provides. He was born in South Africa and raised in Vancouver. His hobbies include Golfing and Duplicate bridge.

Dr. Norman Wong

Dr. Norman Wong graduated Dental School from The University of British Columbia in 1988. His passion is to support overall physical health and well being of his patients. Dr. Wong has chosen to direct his attention toward studying advanced programs in Orthodontics, Periodontics, and Surgery. He has been a member of the Surrey Memorial Hospital Board from 1991 to 1997 where was performing services in the emergency room, operation room under general anesthesia, and extended care facility. During that time, he was a Secretary Treasurer for the Surrey Memorial Dental Society from 1992 to 1994.

Dr. Wong maintained a general practice from 1990 to 2009 upon his move to Alberta. He has continued his advanced education to include intravenous conscious sedation, laser therapy and implants. Dr. Norman Wong’s desire is to connect with his guests and provide comfortable, quality conscious dentistry. He is married for 15 years to his beautiful wife, Susan, and has three lovely children.
